IPEK ONGUN

İpek ONGUN  is a Turkish writer. She graduated from the Department of Literature in 1961. She began her writing career in high school with magazine translations. Her first children’s novel ‘Pen Friends’ was published in 1980. Her first novel for teenagers was ‘Age Seventeen’. She has won many awards. For example, she won the “Successful Woman Writer of the Year” award in 1998. Also she has won “Gold Book Award” in 1991. She has written many books about challenges of youth. She is married and she has two children. She lives in Mersin.
